Highlights of the Taipei International Toy Show ’98, held last October 2-5, 1998 at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC). The four-day show was organized by the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA) and the Taiwan Toys Manufacturers Association (TTMA).

Many toy makers in Taiwan are investing in R&D and drastically increasing safety standards for their products.
	Key categories included motorized and electronic toys, educational toys, video/computer games, craft toys, outdoor and indoor toys, inflatables, and toy parts and materials.
High value-added products will continue to be a strong trend for Taiwan's toy makers.
